Der 1. English Comedy Club in Wien im Café Don José Feliciano am Opernring 6 in Wien startet am 24. Jänner 2012 mit einem gemischten britischen Doppel: der Comedian Matt Price und die wunderbare Comedienne Maureen Younger. In Zusammenarbeit mit Baby Blue Banana, dem führenden Veranstalter für englisches Entertainment in Europa, sind künftig einmal im Monat die besten englischsprachigen Entertainer in Wien zu Gast.

Matt Price is one of the most extroverted and animated comedians on the British comedy circuit. He has performed before for us at our clubs in Budapest, Bratislava and Prague, with huge success, so we are absolutely delighted to have persuaded him to launch our 2012 programme of comedy in Vienna. Matt Price is one of the great story-telling comedians, who has plenty of hilarious stories to tell. Originally from Cornwall in England's deepest Southwest, Matt comes across as a genuinely likeable man, who has the ability to hook his audience and keep them on board throughout his performances. He also improvises a significant proportion of his performances, to keep his act fresh and appropriate for each individual audience, a talent which remains quite rare amongst stand-up comedians.

Our opening act is the wonderful Maureen Younger, a natural, immensely talented comedienne, whose self-effacing and intelligent style has endeared her to audiences throughout the world. Originally from Scotland, Maureen has performed live comedy in German, Spanish and French, as well as her native English. Her "full-on" approach and expert timing blend perfectly with her warm and likeable personality to guarantee that every audience member is drawn in to enjoy every word.
