The love child of Brooklyn and the Internet, Baauer was born out of noise. A sound that began steeped in the 4/4 dance tradition, slowly took on hip-hop tendencies until two became one. Influenced heavily by southern hip-hop and UK bass sounds, Baauer has found himself smack dab in the middle of the electronic renaissance.
He is the delectable fusion of future-crunk and leather shaken aggressively in a bottle for years and has only just opened the top to pour the mixture out. Fight for it, race to the bar, kick and scream, just make sure you get your Baauer drink on, because otherwise you'll get left, standing in your tracks, jaw dropped, eyes gaping, just watching, and wishing. Though Harry Rodrigues aka Baauer hasn’t been on the scene long, the amount of buzz the 23-year-old has been able to build in such short time has been strikingly impressive, going from SoundCloud’s best kept secret to contemporary electronic music’s new poster child seemingly overnight. Now, with stellar remixes for the likes of No Doubt and Flosstradamus under his belt, and the elephantine tune that is "Harlem Shake" (Mad Decent/Jeffrees), Baauer is poised to proceed with his global takeover, and continue defining ‘Trap Music’ at its very best.
Already clocking play across the world c/o TNGHT, Rustie, Diplo, A-Trak, Skrillex, Benji B, Toddla T, Araab Muzik, One- man, Jackmaster, Skream & Benga and Nick Grimshaw – the few Baauer songs that have seen a release have been club anthems through and through.

>CID RIM

The world of Cid Rim circles around the boundless magic and mythical formulas of funk. When speaking of his influences and musical socialisation, the 27 year old producer and drummer of JSBL inevitably ends in the 70ies of the past century. Think of the JBs, big band sounds á la Stan Kenton or the drum breaks, which widely opened his personal doors to funk.

Through constant exchange with his band colleagues Dorian Concept and The Clonious he sharpened his producer skills and also pushed forward into hiphop and experimental electronica. While startin´ as an enthusiastic sample digger his current works unfold a tempo-independence, a playful and interlaced sound, shifted with deep chords (he just can’t resist). A hybrid of programmed beats and analogue drum patterns meets razorsharp grooves and monumental power-steps.

In the style of a quarterback he ambitiously connects all team parts into a homogenous unit. Cid Rim, he wears the number 8.
