Dialog mit Martin Kalungu-Banda
So 26. April 2015, 9.15 bis 12.30 Uhr

We are living in complex and fast changing times. We are faced with massive, institutional system failure and personal disillusionment. We collectively create results that nobody wants: financial and economic collapse, poor healthcare, climate change and increasing poverty,
rising numbers of people committing suicide and suffering chronic depression, among others. Many of our current political, economic and educational institutions are broken. We need to learn new ways of bringing about the change we need in our lives and in our communities.
In this presentation, I will share with you my experience of applying the tools of presencing to my personal and professional life.

Martin Kalungu-Banda serves as Core-Faculty Member of the Presencing Institute|MIT, the HSBC Next Generation Development Programme, HRH Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conference for Leaders Programme. He is also visiting faculty for the University of Cambridge
Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
He serves as an adviser to the Tony Blair Africa Governance Initiative – playing the role of Thinking Partner with Chiefs of Staff to a number of Heads of State in Africa. For the last five years, Martin has been leading a
number of innovation processes among which are: how to reduce the cost of heart surgery (between India and the UK); how to build and manage sustainable cities (between London and Shanghai) and how to end water shortage in water-stressed regions (between the Middle
East and the UK), how to reduce carbon emissions (between the UK and India) and the sustainability of the Tuna Industry in the Coral Triangle.
Between March 2005 and May 2008, Martin served as Special Consultant to the President of Zambia. He is the author of the bestseller "Leading Like Madiba: Leadership Lessons from Nelson Mandela" and "It’s How We End That Matters: Leadership Lessons from an African
President".
